Switchee installations. Simplified.
The Switchee Trusted Installer Network (STIN)
We understand the challenges involved in planning and executing installation projects. Limited time and resources often hinder the progress of crucial projects, making the process complex and overwhelming for both landlords and residents. In response to this industry-wide need for streamlined installation services, we developed the Switchee Trusted Installer Network.
The Switchee Trusted Installer Network (STIN) is designed to oversee the entire installation process of Switchee devices from start to finish. We understand that finding the right installers who can deliver the highest standards of quality, adhere to tight schedules, and stay within budget can be a daunting task. With our network of trusted professionals, we aim to alleviate this burden and provide a seamless installation experience for our customers.
Key features of the Switchee Trusted Installer Network
The Switchee Trusted Installer Network (STIN) offers nationwide coverage of 100% of the UK (Mainland and NI), ensuring we can connect you with a skilled installer in your area. All installers in our network are industry-certified by recognised bodies like NICEIC and Trustmark, ensuring high standards of competence and compliance.
Comprehensive end-to-end management means we take care of every aspect of the Switchee installation process, from initial planning to final implementation. Switchee-trained installers ensure efficient and accurate installations, maximising the benefits of our smart-home solutions.

Switchee Trusted Installer Network (STIN) feedback.
“Switchee have provided an outstanding service to date. Those working on the project have gone above and beyond helping Platform kick off this initiative, ensuring we get the right support at the right time. We are at a point now where we have x70 Switchee devices installed and gaining real insight already as to where we have high risk damp and mould and fuel poverty which enables us to support and improve our tenants living conditions.
We are very much looking forward to the further x200 devices being installed across our stock and working with the Project Team at Switchee to make this a successful pilot.”

Network Information
- What is the installer network?
Being a member of the Switchee Installer Network (SIN) potentially provides an additional source of income for Installers while providing Switchee a trusted, reliable, and flexible team of installers. The network allows us to provide another layer of support for Housing associations who are either newly engaged with Switchee or existing clients who need additional support with an existing project. This support could be:
- Replacing an old thermostat with a Switchee
- Installing a Switchee in a new build
- Being the main install partner of Switchee’s for a Housing Association
- Swapping faulty or defective Switchee hardware for new hardware
- Supporting residents on how to use the Switchee device
In return, Switchee pays a fixed fee per installation or swap for smaller projects. For larger projects our network members are approached to produce a tender for the works.
What are the minimum entry requirements?
- NICEIC or NAPIT, Gas Safe & Trustmark Registered
- Hold the minimum qualifications for their specified works such Part 3 Electrician or Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation Installation and Maintenance.
- All workers to be part in Switchee related works should also hold a valid DBS check.
- You must hold Professional & Public liability insurance of £5m minimum.
- All workers to take part in Switchee related works should either hold current CSCS cards or have completed the required courses in the Switchee Training Matrix:
- Asbestos Awareness
- Electrical Safety
- First Aid Awareness
- Hazardous substances
- Manual Handling
- Working at height
- Switchee Installer Accreditation Certificate
- All works must have attended Switchee Installer Training.
- You must agree to our framework agreement which outlines GDPR responsibilities etc.
Revalidation & Maintaining Quality
We revalidate the installer’s company and financial status annually to ensure they maintain creditworthiness and mitigate the risk of money laundering etc.
Insurance documentation is validated on entry and on the known expiry date a current insurance policy.
Ensuring our network members maintain our standards is important to us. To aid in this, we use 2 methods of quality checking:
- Remote: A digital survey is delivered to residents post installation via their new device.
- In Person: During an installation project a select of appointments is attended by a Switchee representative.
Failure to maintain an IQV of over 95% can result in network members being removed from our network.
